This is in the package.json so it could be that the script did not properly build or failed when fetching that file? Not sure, as it's an unsupported flow.

Not sure I'm understanding - you're suggesting that the upgrade shouldn't automatically install all the relevant dependencies? It's not a bug because users upgrading should know what to do when using proxmox and typing "upgrade," only to see the install not only fail but make grimmory inaccessible (which it now is)?

I'm assuming I could possibly fix the error by doing something like npm install chartjs-chart-matrix@1.3.0. But don't you think the upgrade should do that? Apologies for being dense but I'm missing how an error during upgrade like this isn't considered a bug.

I am suggesting that this is not a bug with Grimmory, as the upgrade script is - to my knowledge - not something that is officially supported so it's impossible for me to know what the contents of it are.

I am sorry that you've got an install that's not operating now. For the future, it may be helpful to do a backup before upgrades. It looks like this script says it's backing up the installation, so maybe investigate that?

I don't know what the upgrade does or doesn't do. You'll need to go to the author of that script.

Fair enough. Granted, I grabbed the Proxmox upgrade script from https://gist.github.com/dalenjohnson/8a1337ec1e6ca6f82da5130dfcb1861c?permalink_comment_id=6115329#gistcomment-6115329 so that needs to be updated and, as you say, it's not a bug within Grimmory. Thus, I'll close. But Proxmox users (unlikely an insignificant community) are probably going to get left behind. Just sayin'...

That’s not Docker’s fault; Docker runs just fine on LXC. It’s the way the maintainer communicates. We’d all had enough of that, so we put it on hold for now. If someone maintains a script, submits it to us as a PR, and continues to maintain it in the future, I don’t care—it can go in, but I won’t be getting involved. My original concern was about the many leftover vars, and for that I was immediately shamed and called stupid—that doesn’t sit well ^^ (even though it was edited five times afterward, you can still see it). By the way, as a .jar, this thing requires zero maintenance on our part.
