Support Proxmox installation and upgrades #1211

One approach is the new Proxmox application container feature with an Omnibus image (an image that contains Grimmory, mariadb, etc as one unit). This requires proxmox 9.1 and is technically a tech preview but does work. I ran a proof of concept omnibus image that had everything together and it booted up fine. However, upgrades would need to be detailed as you don't quite docker pull -- but they could be less fiddly than scripts. |

There's some kind of a community LXC script being passed around on discord & also one over on the proxmox community scripts discussion. It does the build of the frontend and jar on the host & then uses the jar from there. I'm not sure how it handles dependencies changing between versions, though, nor how the script itself gets updated. |

I can confirm that the jar file that's included in the new releases works smoothly to update my Proxmox LXC, just went from 3.0.2 to 3.2.0. |
There are plenty of people running proxmox (myself included) who are doing just that (or docker in a VM) and it works totally fine. Not sure what you mean by official... |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
What would you like Grimmory to do?
It would be helpful to have a suggested path for people using proxmox for installation.
What problem does this solve for you?
People running proxmox don't want to run docker containers in LXC and would like an official route for running things.
Anything else?
I don't know how many users there are that would benefit from this. I added this because it's been talked about every now and then.
Want to help out?
Just sharing the idea for now
