What would you like Grimmory to do?

Add additional fields to authors, for other site IDs(Hardcover author id, goodreads author id, etc), along with other information such as URL(personal homepages) and pronouns.

What problem does this solve for you?

Not every author has an Amazon ASID, and getting IDs from more sources is good for metadata diversity. Therefore, having more structured data for authors would be good. There could probably be a way of fetching this data from sources other than amazon, but I'm not personally sure how that would work.

Anything else?

I'd imagine the ID buttons could be generated similarly to how the ID buttons are shown on book detail pages, with a series of icons depicting the services that the authors have IDs for, along with a generic "website" icon if a URL is set for them. And you could put the pronouns below their name in a slightly dimmed text color.

I like this. Currently the author page is a feature without a lot of functions or point. The only issue I see, getting personal homepages could be a pain. Its not going to be auto populated anywhere I would think,

Yeah, I would still like the option to manually put it in since currently I just add it to the bottom of descriptions, and without manually making it an HTML link I have to copy/paste it out of the description instead of just clicking. I do get that auto-population would definitely be the ideal solution here though.
