What's Your Idea?

Add a dedicated DOI field to papers and display it in the default view as a clickable link for quick access to the original source.

Why Would This Be Helpful?

DOI has become essential for scientific work adding this to grimmory would improve efficiency of working with papers.

There is also lots of infrastructure build around DOI:

• Zotero Citation Import via DOI
• Local Citation Graphs
• Pressing DOI link leads back to the original source
• DOIs are usually given in the bibliography section
• etc..

Yes big +1. While trying to migrate from Calibre to Grimmory, this is one of the first hiccups I encountered. Much of my library only has DOI, no ISBN, making it kind of hard to realistically use Grimmory
