Split statistics for longterm and shortterm

Split entity timeline into longterm with no automatic purge and shortterm with automatic purge within x days.

Why is this exciting?

justification: as I'm tracking my energy data in a lonterm base the database is growing constantly. To reduce file size I would appreciate a possibility to define duration of entity data and statistics.

Potential use cases

Energy data = lonterm
splar production forecast = shortterm, delete after 7 days
