New scripts cannot be created: timeout dialog and empty script list on 2026.1.0

Describe the feature

On Home Assistant OS, Core 2026.1.0, Supervisor 2026.01.0, Frontend 20260107.0 it is currently impossible to create new scripts via the UI.

Steps:

• Go to Settings → Automations & Scenes → Scripts.
• Click “Create script”.
• Add a single action (e.g. call service input_boolean.turn_on on an existing helper).
• Click “Save”.

A timeout dialog appears (“Skript-Einrichtung mit Zeitüberschreitung …”). After closing it and reloading the page, the scripts dashboard still shows “Create your first script” and the new script is not visible.

Use cases

Basic use case: I want to create any script for my food inventory project, e.g.:

• Set values of helper entities (input_text, input_number, input_datetime, input_boolean) when adding a food item.
• Later call SQL queries based on these helpers.

Right now I cannot create even the simplest script (one action: turn on an input_boolean). This blocks not only my project but any script-based automation for this installation.

Current workarounds

Currently there is no real workaround:

• The script UI never shows any scripts, so I cannot execute or edit them later.
• Creating scripts directly in configuration.yaml is also difficult because I still need the UI to see and run them.
• I tried multiple browsers (Safari, Chrome, incognito mode), cleared cache, and restarted Home Assistant – the problem stays the same.

My case:

• Scripts dashboard always shows the empty state (“Create your first script”), even after the timeout dialog says the new script was saved.
• System log (home-assistant_2026-01-09T18-59-30.524Z.log) shows no configuration.yaml parse errors.
• Helper entities (input_text.food_name, input_number.food_quantity, input_datetime.mhd, input_boolean.frozen, etc.) work fine.
• I can provide screenshots of the timeout dialog, the empty scripts dashboard, and the full log file if needed.
