I second this, with the additional idea of a "hide feature" switch in the config. |

What type of request is this?
Enhancement to existing card/feature
Existing card or feature name
{"Card" => "Calendar"}
Describe the enhancement
Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed that since version 2026.3.0, the button to add a calendar event directly from the dashboard card has disappeared. While the previous UI might have been "uggly", the functionality itself was a fantastic addition to the card, as it allowed users to quickly add events to a specific calendar without leaving their dashboard.
Currently, the calendar card already allows us to edit or delete existing events. It feels inconsistent and a bit of a workflow "bottleneck" that we cannot create one from the same view.
Adding this feature back would be a significant step forward for the User Experience. It would save users from having to navigate away from their current page, open the full Calendar panel, and then click "Add Event."
Keeping everything centralized on the dashboard card would make the interface much more intuitive and efficient.
Thanks for considering this!
Use cases
Have in background of the form, help for users to fill out the event details correctly (e.g., summary format, naming conventions, or specific parameters) without any guesswork.
Visual examples
To help visualize this, here are three concepts of how this button could be reintegrated into the card :
Option 1:

Option 2:
Option 3:
Anything else?
This would be similar to the experience found in Google Calendar, for example.
