Planned maintenance of the main directory servers Any Genre 1 and Any Genre 2

End: Sunday, August 23, 2026, 18:00 CEST

I need to upgrade my operating system on my virtual server. I plan to backup all necessary configuration files and make a clean install of Debian 13.

To get Jamulus servers working again, I first need to secure the login (no password, etc.), then I need to install required packages (is this page up to date?), clone Jamulus, compile and setup startup services.

The above time window is not meant to be an outage of that length. I will start the installation sometime in the morning and hopefully, if everything works out fine, the outage may only be about one hour.

If it does look like being an extended outage, for Any Genre 2 I have a Directory available that we could switch to (it's doing nothing useful right now).

(Update check server 2 conflicts with AG1, of course, so I can't cover that.)
