Loading Plugins as Mono Instances

I have one feature request that would be extremely important for my use case: the ability to load plugins as true mono instances instead of always loading them in stereo.

I use multiple independent mono channels with the same plugin, and currently Element loads each instance as stereo. This doubles the number of processed channels and increases CPU usage, even though the source signals are purely mono.

A selectable channel configuration per plugin (for example: mono input/output or stereo input/output) would make Element much more powerful for professional multi-channel setups.

Thank you very much for developing Element. I think it is a fantastic host, and this feature would make it even more useful.

Element will try stereo on a first add to a graph, but you can switch them to true Mono as well:

click the cog then change channel counts:

Any node on a graph can be duplicated in the menu by right clicking on it:
