[Schedule] Interactive background events ?

Hi ! I just noticed the background event option, which is very nice. Would there be a way to keep this kind of display but keep interactivity ?
Context : In our product, calendars can show actual work items but also unavailabilities, for which background display would make a lot of sense. But users still need to be able to interact with them (click to open edit modal move, resize, ...).

Thanks @rtivital for the release ! Is there a reason why interactive background events can't have edge-drag ?
