Chat search with your own LLM Provider key

Hi, are the docs for Getting started with Chat outdated? We followed the guide and tried to enable Chat via the API, but we receive this message:

“Please connect to the Meilisearch Cloud dashboard to enable or disable experimental features.”

When we enable it in the Cloud dashboard, it says Chat is an add-on feature and will add additional costs. Could you clarify what that means in practice?

1. Does the add-on pricing include LLM usage costs (i.e., Meilisearch covers the LLM costs), or are we expected to provide and pay for our own LLM provider?
2. Does Chat support custom LLMs (bring-your-own provider / API key), and if so, are LLM usage costs always billed to us?

sorry, indeed our docs is a little bit outdated. We are working on it!
So far, no we do not support custom LLMs, but I reported the need to the product team 👍
