How does "Volume Strategy for Announcements" work?

I can't figure out what the different "Volume Strategies for Announcements" does. I've searched and asked Copilot, but I still don't get it.

Can someone explain how it works and then maybe extend https://www.music-assistant.io/integration/announcements/ with the same information? Right now, I only see a screenshot.

• Custom announcement chime URL: The help text is good enough as it is.
• Pre-announce TTS announcements: The help text is good enough as it is.
• Volume Strategies for Announcements
  ** Absolute volume: Does this mean that only "Volume" will be used, and "Minimum" and "Maximum" are ignored? If so, then it would be useful if the interface disabled those other inputs.
  ** Relative volume increase: Does this mean that it increase "Volume" percent, but within the boundaries of "Minimum" and "Maximum"? If so, then it means that Min/Max are always absolute values, while "Volume" changes from relative to absolute..?
  ** Volume increase by fixed percentage [default]: I don't understand how this is different from the one above.
  ** Do not adjust volume: Would be very useful if the interface disabled the Volume/Minimum/Maximum inputs, if that is the intention.

Also, I think setting "volume" when triggering an announcement from Home Assistant overrides all of these settings? Is that correct, or is it still limited within the boundaries of "Minimum" and "Maximum"?

I'm running 2.7.0beta26, but if I remember correctly, it looked the same in 2.6.x.

Thank you for all the work on Music Assistant! I can only imagine how much work it must be getting all the integrations to play nicely together.

There is further information in the MA settings.

Absolute volume is a fixed amount. Relative increase and fixed increase affect the current volume by the amount specified. This is limited by the max and min.

I didn't know that the person answering the question could select their answer as the final answer. I think it's better if the person asking the question to select the answer. I thought marking as "answered" was the same thing as closing it, so even though I didn't understand much, I simply gave up.

I would very much appreciate if someone could answer my bullet list one by one. I've changed it into a numbered list here:

A simple "yes" or "no, but here is how it works: ..." would be amazing.
