Hey there! I ported the plugin I created for TrueNAS over to NASty here:

There's still a lot of work to do, but it works so far!

Nice! You could share your plans first though. I would tell you that version 0.0.10 will have REST API support which should make your life easier ;)
Anyway I can post info about it if you think it's already more or less ready and useful.

Haha, it's no problem. I've been using sockets as a first approach on the TrueNAS plugin since iXSystems has dropped support for REST going forward.

WebSockets stays as default interface anyway. REST API is only to make it easier to implement some CLI tooling and maybe terraform provider. So you're fine with current approach. Maybe it's not optimal for what it is doing but you're fine ;)
