It would also be helpful to have the option to download or export the complete text corpus of a project. This would facilitate data backup, transfer between devices, and the use of project materials in other software or research workflows.

Yes, and also have proper meta data. We are in talks with research data centers to learn about standards for doing this the right way. But a first iteration could be an export. I am not sure if everyone in the team should be allowed to do this (and this brings us right to the issue of having more roles in the project - right now we only have owners and admins!). I think we definitely need to build out the Role-Based Access Control @jankapunkt

Yes, this is a major task. For this we need to analyze and evaluate collaborative coding settings in more detail.
