Clearing "fog" while driving

In the Pelican app on iOS (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pelican-automotive-assistant/id1663683832), they've added a feature which I've tried and liked a lot - which they call "The Fog".

It's similar to video games where, when the app is in motion using CarPlay, there is a layer of "fog" that gets cleared after you have passed there. This layer stays cleared for every location you've visited. Over time, the map gets more and more "cleared".

It might seem gimicky, but I liked seeing alternate routes to my destinations and looking for secondary roads I've never been on before in my own city. I know we can already record a track on Organic Maps, but it's not exactly the same feature. Having all that data locally (and exportable) could be a great addition too.
