Prefer IPv6 Connectivity on WG Endpoint Domain?

Hello,

Within the iOS (and Mac) app, is there a way to prefer IPv6 connectivity on a Wireguard endpoint domain that has both A (IPv4) and AAAA (IPv6) records? I'd prefer IPv6 connectivity if possible but every time I establish my connection, it always chooses the A record (IPv4) instead.

Edit: just got the 3.8.8 update. Still connecting to IPv4 on my endpoint domain. Can there be a Prefer IPv6 switch? My domain supports both.

Could you compare behavior with Preferences > Advanced > .wgCrossV2 OFF?

IIRC, this is related to partout-io/partout#280, which I did for the sake of feature parity with the official app. That's why I expect the .wgCrossV2 OFF toggle to behave the same.

However, making it an explicit preference could be a good improvement. Let me know how the comparison goes, then I'll schedule the feature.

No change with .wgCrossV2 OFF or ON. The only way I can make a successful connection to a Wireguard endpoint domain over IPv6 is to use a domain that is IPv6 only (only has an AAAA record and no A) record. The problem with this approach is that if I ever join a network that is IPv4 only, it won't connect at all. If IPv6 is an explicit preference, when enabled, it will still use IPv6, but then fall back to IPv4 if that's only what the network supports.
