Persistent highlight and selection

Hi,

Having used Atom and then Pulsar for some years now, I have never learnt to use the persistent highlight function. Its only ever been annoying when I have highlighted accidentally and cannot get rid of it without closing and reopening the file. What package does this come from and how do I use it correctly (being able to remove the highlight?

That's an excellent question. I'm not sure what package is doing that.

Do you have any community packages installed? If so, please launch in safe mode and report whether the problem persists.

If it's still a problem in safe mode, perhaps you can take a screencast so I can get a better sense of what's going on here?

Thanks for replying. Twas a good suggestion to use safe-mode and sure enough it was a community package. By bisecting the packages I narrowed it down to simple-drag-drop-text (see video). Not sure why its doing it or whether it was intentional. Either way, haven't needed it so uninstalled and seems all good.
