Consider using .md instead of .llms.md for llms-txt extension (or configuration option)

Description

The llms-txt feature is great! But I can never remember the extension and I always end up trying some combination of .md, .llm.md, .llms.txt etc until I get to .llms.md. Nearly all other static site generators with this feature serve a .md file at the same route as the .html file -- Docusaurus, Mintlify, GitBook, Hugo, VitePress, and more.

It still make sense for the aggregate files to use llms.txt or llms-full.txt etc., but using a non-standard extension for the sibling files hinders discoverability.

Thank you. Yes I agree. I wonder if this is too late to modify completely and we need this to be a configuration...

Yeah, I suggested a configuration option because this feature has been out for long enough that some people might want to keep the .llms.md extension. I'd argue that the correct default is .md, though, and I'd be very happy if that became the standard.

The Lua Quarto skill uses those extensions, but it is not merged.

I also have other things specifically targeting this extension, so an option to customise/change might be better to avoid breakage.
