Absolute Beginner

Hiyall,
I loaded macOS Mojave without issue. I then OKed on the 'disk' icon and nothing happens. I then had to go away for a while so I shut down the computer. Two questions:

1. Where do I go to start it?
2. 2. How do I put it into Oracle VB as there is no .iso?
      Host: Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon / Oracle VM Version 7.2.6 r172322 / 32Gb RAM / Plenty disk space.
