3. Budget Details (Q2 2025)

Since no request was made for Q1 but there is one month left of Q1 salaries based on the approved budgets. The treasury currently has some fund but not enough to cover March Salaries. The table below will note what request is for Q1 and what request is for Q2 so both sets of budgets can be satisfied. A few programs and spending reductions are being put in place for Q2 to better utilize the treasury.

Note: Any surplus carries over to the next quarter if not used up by DCDAO.

Budget Adjustments:

• Steering Committee Payment: No change from Q4'24 Budget.
• Treasury Specialist Payment: Role shifted under the Community Manager tasks. Salary for the last month of Q1 is being requested.
• Community Growth Program: Program Canceled for Q2. Budget request for 1 month of salary for Q1 close out.
• Community Manager Proposal: Reduced funding to $3200 per month. Detailed Q2 budget to be posted soon.

These changes are parts of DCDAO’s efforts to optimize operational costs in response to bear market pressures and ensure the longevity of the project.

4. Recent Achievements

4.1 Community

• Managed DAO staking and progressed discussions around KTON/RING LP Farm, treasury voting delegations, and liquidity sources.
• Promoted an Advocate to Ambassador and supported the RingDAO Marketing Action plan.
• Boosted community engagement with weekly quizzes (20-25+ participants), Twitter updates, monthly articles, and GitHub discussions.
• Supported KtonDAO, RingDAO, Helix Discord, and kept community channels spam-free.

4.2 Marketing and Branding Management, Maintenance, and Developer Education

• Marketing and Branding: Worked with Eve on finalizing the Helix DAO deck, aligning our messaging and presentation to external stakeholders.
• Community Engagement: Represented Darwinia at events such as EthDenver 2025, reinforcing community ties and building connections.
• Developer Education: No new content
• Website Maintenance: Maintained the Darwinia.Network website and RingDAO site. Improved ENS name support for the collator-staking-ui-v2 website, ensuring proper resolution for Ethereum subdomains.
• Paralink and Vote.RingDAO.Com: Completed the development of Paralink and made significant updates to the Vote.RingDAO.Com platform, including UI enhancements and support for additional networks.

4.3 Growth

• Hosted multiple DCDAO Community Calls to engage the community with guests from Tashi Protocol, Kleros, Cypher-Crypto.

Since Q1 2025, This scope of marketing(Management, Maintenance, and Development Proposal) has been moved to Ecosystem:

(The proposal Pull request will be supposed to initiate by Dotmatrix, not from DCDAO, removing website maintenance, the viable budget reduced to 2.5K/month in Q2)

Besides, why do we need to request 1 more month for Q1 finished/terminated program? (Because the Q1 budget is insufficient, is there an overdraft?)

No Q1 budget request was ever made so all of Q1 salaries to date have been paid out of the existing DCDAO treasury which now doesn't have enough for the end of Q1 budget. I wasn't sure if the Community Growth program ended early and does need to be paid for March. If so I can remove that as well. I also assumed that the Treasury Specialist would receive pay for March with the transiotion to me happening in April.

Maybe the budget application should be for Q1 and Q2, because as I can see on RingDAO governance, the last vote is for Q4 2024 budget.

Salaries for January and February were paid with saved/unspent funds from previous quarters.

In addition, DCDAO sponsored ETHDenver participation with 3/4 of the funds. ($3000 DCDAO, $1000 Helixbox).
In the budget intended for DCDAO and voted on RingDAO gov. from Q4 2024 there are no funds foreseen for ETH Denver.

I believe Q2 is more appropriate, as the majority of this portion of funds will be utilized in Q2. Writing Q1 when Q1 has already ended is quite confusing.

If the intention is merely to provide DCDAO with more surplus value, although it’s unnecessary since RingDAO’s purpose is solely for sponsorship, if it is indeed necessary, it should be stated directly, and the sponsorship amount should be increased slightly.

There is no convention stipulating that RingDAO need provide sponsorship every quarter; skipping some is fine.

It's okay, I think I misunderstood the meaning of your previous post.
Because of the sentence "is there an overdraft?" I was trying to explain why there are now funds missing for some March items/payrolls.

Yes, but the DCDAO budget for Q4 2024 was approved on RingDAO gov.
It did not include any money for such an event.
But as I explained, my post was trying to explain why there is a lack of money for March.

Looks like I actually will need a little more help than just the screenshots. I was trying to use the screenshots from the Q4'24 proposal but I need the contract ABI.json and I don't have that or know where to get it so I can make the custom chain call. So I will need help there. Thank you.
