Let customers SMS stand downs into jobs

Clint LVMD: Machine off hires/ wet stand down requests:

This request may be a bit ambitious, but thought it was worth mentioning as was bought up by another client that has their own inhouse software that has this feature, during a civil style hire, a client can request a wet weather stand down or rainout day, if the weather prevents use of the machine they can call and request a wet stand down at 100% discount, we would then extend the last day of hire usually, this process requires the initial call to us from client, then we must write down, then enter that job and manually alter the SOH job, I usually make notes in the timeline, this method has opportunities for the stand down request to be missed/ forgotten, and with multiple stand downs over a long term hire it can become confusing when calculating which days were chargeable and non-chargeable.

The systems that two other clients use has a feature which allows the customer to text to request a wet stand down, this text then automatically updated and notes in the job and amends the invoicing side that this day was non-chargeable. I would guess that this feature could be quite complex to set up, but, if possible, to create in the future would prove to aid to efficiency and help remove one more step for human error.
