Invalid Login - Lost Data

I wake up one morning, and click to log in to my app hosted in supabase. I see invalid login. I try everything, nothing. I get in to check in the back, and the data is gone. All details.

I have tried to get some back using local storage, but it is not as complete as it should be.

I believe that data is somewhere in Supabase. Has someone ever had such an issue? I havent exceeded my limit and I am using the system for nothing illegal. It is just farm data I am creating.

Or am I being forced to subscribe?

Could you expand a bit more on the invalid logins and not being able to get in? How did you eventually get in? When you did get in, did you see your organisation/project but no database data or did you not even see your organisation/project at all. Could it be that an Ai model that you connected deleted some of the data?

Thanks for checking in. Well, I had created 6 users in the app. 4 had never logged in. The active two could not log in one morning. They encountered 'Invalid Login Credential' errors. So I went in with one of the other 4, and was surprised to notice that users were now 4. The 2 active ones were gone. With the gone ones were data. Records we had saved for months was gone.

The organisation is there.

You mentioned AI model deleting data? I don't know. Maybe. I use Claude, and have built with it from scratch. I don't know

What baffles is that just as we noticed these problem, I received an mail, from the CTO and Co founder of Supabase, called Ant, saying that my other project (I have 2 in my free account - free only allows 2 anyway), which I hadn't logged into for quite some time:

"Hi there,

To save on cloud resources I just did a scan of all our projects and identified those which have not seen sufficient activity for more than 7 days.

Your project visionary-group(ID: puayeloemdvhrmyztcas) from your organization ********** was one of those and it is scheduled to be paused in the near future.

Your project is not currently paused, but if it continues not to receive sufficient activity, it will be paused automatically.

Once a project is paused:

We will send another email to confirm that it has been paused.
You can unpause it from the dashboard within 90 days of the pause date. Beyond that point, you won't be able to unpause your project, but you'll be able to download your data.
To prevent future automatic pausing, upgrade to Pro from your billing settings.

Maybe they are unrelated.

So I am running around trying to fix things, picking keys from browsers, injecting them back, but it doesn't feel the same.

I know that database is somewhere, and Supabase can help me get it.

Pause means the project was not used in 7 days. Once paused it would get errors from any app. It would not disappear though.

If you have Teams though on your Org someone else could potentially move it.

Only way to get Supabase to look at it is thru support. Most of us helping here are not staff.

Log into your app or login in to Supabase dashboard?
If you are in Supabase dashboard and there is no org that almost always means you are in a new account with a different email. Common when using Github signup (and underlying email different).
Supabase would issue you ban from account and not delete your data with no notice if you were doing something wrong.

Logging into the app. Supabase is fine, the database is there. Just those users and data that they was associated with them is what is gone

That seems like it would be on you. Supabase would not delete specific users from a postgres table and their specific data. If you have cascade delete setup then certainly running delete from the dashboard would delete their data also. The REST API has an admin call to delete users and you can also delete with sql from the auth.users table. But Supabase would not delete specific data in your auth users table.

Sure, on retrospect, tthis is on me. Supabase would have no reason to delete my data. I guess it is my code that ate its tail. I am working to fix it. Thanks for pointing it out to me
