Wish: Option To Increase Thaw Settings Window Width

Hello @stonerl,

please forgive me for once again bringing up this topic.

But, once upon a time – I think it was in times of “Ice” – it was possible to increase the window width to the whole screen width, which, of course, was very practical because then we didn’t need to scroll to see the whole menu.

Then, I can't remember when, this changed, the Settings window stuck with being quite small, and now it is a PITA to edit the Menu Bar Layout because you have to scroll around to see all the icons in the Menu Bar.

To illustrate how absurd this is is I have attached a screenshot of my 27" screen with the Settings window open:

Can you please do something about this? Das würde mich total glücklich machen 😄

Yeah, that’s very cool!

But seriously, what I am MUCH more happier about than the collapsible sidebar is the “New Items” badge 🙂 I’ve wanted such a thing for a long time already!

But now I have a new wish/suggestion:

How about highlighting new items in some way, so as to draw attention to them visually, either by some coloured background (preferred!), or, perhaps by adding some thing like the red exclamation mark emoji to the left and right of them: ❗️[new item(s)]❗️, but only if there are new items, and only as long as they haven’t been moved elsewhere.

Ain’t it terrible with users? You give them something, and immediately they want more 😅
