I would be clear about your target user. I use thaw because I want my menu bar exactly how I want it, therefore the detail level is what I expect and want. I would recommend staying super focused on your ideal user. Thanks for all you are doing with the product, really good stuff. |

I'd say yes for simple mode, but honestly the current UI is so far simple enough for user that wants a simple change IMHO. Anyway, I consider Basic to be whatever we have in 1.2.0 (well, I'd argue that Menu Bar Layout is not "Basic" because it requires screen recording permission which may flag some users), and Advances to be the next features of Thaw like Hooks. I personally only use Thaw for general menu bar icon management, so basically the basic of the basic btw lol |

Many menu bar managers that are abandoned are very simple, like Dozer for example; I believe we might find a good use case there; Thaw's bundle is way smaller than other apps and we already consume 1/6 of the memory other apps do; shipping a very simple UI with a toggle between advanced and simple could be a good way to give support to those users that do not something more than hiding their app. |
Uh oh!

Hi everyone,
Thaw has grown significantly over the last few months. We realize the vast number of features might overwhelm users who just want a simple menubar manager.
We are considering adding a Simple Mode in the settings. When enabled, it would only show a basic subset of options necessary for core menubar management, hiding the more advanced configurations.
