There's several components for Thumbrella, and everything is nearing a good runnable state.
Once all components are deployed in prerelease work will begin on the final release changes needed to get everything running. I'm planning on opening up the registration for free users at that point on the service. Of course, anyone is also free to run their own servers for themselves also.
