Starting with the next release, Memos versions follow CalVer instead of SemVer. Each release is named after the year and month it ships. A release in October 2026, for example, is 26.10 rather than 0.32.0.
Why
Memos has been on 0.x since the beginning, and the number has never meant much beyond "newer than the last one". A date is more useful. It tells you how old your instance is and when a feature arrived, and it matches our roughly monthly release rhythm.
Format
YY.MM, with a third number for point releases.
Example
Meaning
26.10

26.10.1
First point release
26.10-rc.1

Nothing changes for you
The stable and canary Docker tags work as before. Version-pinned tags follow the new format from now on.
Breaking changes are still called out under "Upgrade notes" in the changelog.
