My thoughs about desktop environtment on Linux!

First and far most question about X-Server: Wayland, Xorg libre, Xorg T2Linux version?

I think most reasonable to say this selection should decide whoever put the most money and effort into our custom T2 Linux version and it make sense, because it is a lot of work!
Now what are obvious for me selection for window manager:

During my trainee times at company SUSE, i used a lot of KDE 3, and i tend to miss that experience on modern Linux desktop systems.
SO here i would say without a doubt the winner is: Trinity Desktop Environment , because it feels and looks like KDE3 and i can use it for building more modern QT apps, which too not conflict with each other.

Then there another window manager XFCE , which is even more minimalistic and used in some server environments.
Ideally i would prefer to have those 2 equally supported and without any additional work combined and merge with our custom T2 Linux version.

About Gnome, first in my opinion they (core developers of gnome) produce way to much fuzz about, they are mainstream Desktop on many distros, i don't have anything against them, but i still think they need to be more collaborative and less toxic as community and same goes to KDE community too, with which i had too some problems.

So here are real issues, we have multiple X-Servers, multiple window managers and even more

Somebody would say but this is good, everyone in tech field have the choice !

Yes the choices are good, but you miss my point its whole big ecosystem upon which once decided hard to switch to another, that's why at the moment i very , very hesitant to even think about going full Linux desktop.

Eventually its question of resources, i dont have Microsoft or even Red Hat/IBM ressources , when some middle size company fed up with major software vendors would have budget for 5 team full time Linux desktop devs, we will eventually able to build very clean and very positive experience for Linux desktop users.

Then we will start to promote our distro on conferences / talks / youtube etc media, eventually people will catch up that our distros about tech and not about wokeness or any other political nonsense , my whole idea, we provide alternative for the people and the middle and small businesses , which fed up with bigger mainstream.

Our collaboration with opensource upstream will be on the fair use policy, code which we develop based on theirs software will be published on github as is, any special software of our clients which links or use opensource software of course will not be published.
Besides we will not push our updated version to the official upstream, if upstream would like what we do its ok with us , when they took our opensource work and merge it with what we did into theirs repo, but honestly i don't see any obligation to push in this direction.

Eventually when the time is right and there is opportunity to show what we can do , we at Orlovsky Consulting GbR will deliver!
