Delete a part of the route

I have a route with 17,891 points. I want to delete the points between point 4693 and point 5146 and connect the points before and after this section. I'm using the split command. It creates 3 start points and 3 end points, but I can't save or delete these 3 routes separately. The entire route gets selected. Is there a solution to delete a part of the route or not?

Just workaround.
make 2 copies of the current gpx.
(one of them just to be save in case of fail :)

A:one file - trim to the end starting from 4693
B:one file trim to the begining starting from 5146

then you have 2 files

Why? You can delete every point between 5146 and 4693 one by one in the app.

It is not practical. It takes too long.

Bug report: Splitting a route at two points generates three separate routes (each with its own start and end point), but the app does not allow the user to select one of the three routes.
