Installing

The install scripts download the latest release, install what it needs (Julia too, if it's missing), and add it to the menu:

  • Windows, in PowerShell: irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ozanbora/JSynth/master/install/install.ps1 | iex
  • Linux and macOS, in a terminal: curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ozanbora/JSynth/master/install/install.sh | sh

Or download the file for your system below, and:

JSynth runs designs with Julia: install it first from https://julialang.org/downloads/ (juliaup is easiest). JSynth finds it on the PATH and in the usual install folders, or choose it with Run → Choose Julia….

  • Windows (x64): unzip JSynth-…-win-x64.zip and run JSynth\JSynth.exe. Windows may warn that the publisher is unknown: choose More info → Run anyway.
  • Linux (x64): tar -xzf JSynth-…-linux-x64.tar.gz, install the library Skia needs (sudo apt install libfontconfig1), and run JSynth/JSynth.
  • macOS (Apple Silicon): unpack JSynth-…-osx-arm64.tar.gz. The app isn't signed, so clear the download mark once: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine JSynth, then run JSynth/JSynth.

What's Changed
