Can I use PadoGrid to conduct product benchmark tests?

Yes, you can conduct benchmark tests on IMDG products using the perf_test app. Creating a test environment is straight forward. It takes only three (3) steps.

1. Create cluster
2. Create perf_test
3. Run perf_test

The default cluster PadoGrid uses the out-of-the-box product settings. You may need to reconfigure the cluster based on your test case criteria.

If you will be performing basic IMDG operations such as puts and gets then the default settings may suffice your needs. You can immediately use the test_group script in the perf_test app to conduct benchmark tests.

Benchmarking transaction services, on the other hande, may require you to supply custom code in addition to reconfiguring and tuning the cluster.
