more symbols instead of emojis

I'm using the titan 2 elite and trying to have access to more symbols in termux. The problem with termux is the "alt" modifier sends the actual alt key so I'm not able to type symbols like normal. To work around this, I'm using the sym button to type the symbols/numbers that appear on the physical keyboard. This works, but now my symbols page does not have room for the extra symbols that are not on the physical keyboard alt layer.

EDIT: I realized the sym+key also doesn't work in termux for me. any suggestions appreciated I'd like to use the hardware buttons to type symbols not pull up the symbol keyboard on the screen.

Proposal

Allow >1 symbols page. I tried to repurpose the emojis page for additional symbols, but it does not allow it.
