The site didn't communicate the core tradeoff: Touch ID is convenient 99% of the time, but you need instant password-only security for that critical 1%. Also missing: when to use PanicLock vs full shutdown, legal implications of biometric compulsion, and specific high-risk scenarios.

Changes

New sections:

  • Why PanicLock - 99%/1% convenience/security tradeoff, escape hatch framing
  • PanicLock vs Shutdown - Side-by-side comparison: fast session-preserving lock vs full key purge
  • Legal Protection - Biometric compulsion risk, 5th Amendment password protection
  • High-Risk Situations - Border crossings, protests, demonstrations
  • Built For - Persona cards: travelers, journalists, lawyers, activists (optimized to display in single row)

Updated:

  • Hero tagline: "Keep Touch ID for daily convenience. Get instant password-only security when you need it."
  • Meta description includes escape hatch, high-risk scenarios
  • Download button - Added prominent "Download PanicLock" button that automatically links to the latest GitHub release (larger size with bold text for better visibility)
  • Layout optimization - Made "Built For" persona cards fit on one line with responsive design (4 columns on desktop, 2 on tablet, 1 on mobile)

All sections maintain existing design system (Apple-inspired aesthetic, responsive grid, consistent spacing).

@copilot the built for tiles should all be on one line. Make them smaller to fit.

Also can we add a download button that automatically links to the latest github release?

Done in b73a7ff. The "Built For" tiles now display in a single row of 4 cards, and I've added a "Download Latest Release" button that links directly to the latest GitHub release.

@copilot make the download button more prominent and remove the "latest release" part. Add other words if you think download on it's own isn't good enough.

Done in 4805046. Changed the button text to "Download PanicLock" and made it more prominent with larger size (16px padding, 18px bold font).
