In documenting the REST layer, I encountered a couple of classes (ProjectService & ProjectServiceImpl) that need to be updated to support the project settings data. Let's hold off on this PR until I merge those changes in. |
Add code to handle missing data in project fields. Improve documentation.

Reference issue #1522
Added support for a JSON-formatted string field in the project record. This field is used to persist attributes specific to a project. The UI is responsible for maintaining the content of this field.
