WattBar 1.0.0 ⚡

A minimal, native macOS menu bar app that shows your MacBook's live charging wattage.

Install

  1. Download WattBar-latest.dmg below
  2. Open it and drag WattBar into Applications
  3. Launch WattBar — it lives only in your menu bar

Because the app is open source and not signed with a paid Apple Developer ID, on first launch right-click WattBar.app → Open (or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/WattBar.app).

Features

  • Live charging wattage in the menu bar (e.g. 42W)
  • Battery percentage shown while on battery
  • Popover with green ⊕ / orange ⊖ power-flow direction, voltage, amperage, adapter info, cycle count, temperature, time-to-full / remaining
  • Launch at Login toggle
  • No Dock icon, light & dark mode, near-zero CPU

Requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later.
