  • docs(wiki): v8.6.2 — the redirected-CLI fix and the subsystem lesson - Home/_Sidebar/_Footer/CLI/Self-Updater/Changelog carry 8.6.2 (feed example uses the live document and its hashes) - Changelog records that the 8.6.1 attempt was incomplete and that 8.6.2 was verified on the shipped WINDOWS_GUI binary - Testing and QA gains the lesson: redirection must be tested on the shipping subsystem (a console build without -mwindows hides the defect), with the one-liner that prints the PE subsystem

  • docs(wiki): bring the wiki to v8.6.1 - release links no longer point at removed releases (Home uses /releases/latest/download; the feed example shows the live 8.6.1 document with real hashes) - the 8.4.0 provenance caveat is marked resolved, with the 8.6 CI feed contract explained - tag timeline and release notes extended through v8.4.1/8.6.0/8.6.1, and the removal of the older 8.x releases/tags is recorded - new page Testing and QA closes the dangling link from Independent-Audits and documents the gate ladder (including the redirected-CLI check that caught the 8.6.0 regression) - Command-Line Interface: the silent-argument and redirected-output gaps are marked fixed; Home facts/current-version references updated; the open guard-watcher defect is stated as still present in 8.6.1

  • docs(wiki): complete v8 "Aurora" wiki — 23 content pages, fact-verified Replaces the v7-era page set with a wiki verified against source commit 124e849 and an execution battery (mingw-w64 build + Wine 8 CLI/GUI matrix, release-binary comparison). 24k words, 488 table rows, 207 wiki-links, 0 QA errors (qa_wiki.py --strict with ban/term lists). New: mechanics canon with decay problem, legacy script editions with verbatim v6/v7 examples and the audit that froze them, guard-watcher page documenting the armed-event-not-waited defect plus shipped fix, configuration/CLI references with measured outputs and exit codes, Oct-2026 competitor landscape, version-drift and reproducibility record, roadmap, glossary. Retained: Independent-Audits.md (v7 audit record; provenance of defect IDs cited by v7 source comments), bannered and relinked.
