This looks really good. How come this hasn't been merged? |

We have been using the old wrapper in the plugins we maintain, and adopting the new version is on our list, but we have other priorities before that. The main reason is that was not added into any plugin at this time, and that makes it a bit more experimental. But i would say that this will most likely be merged, and its safe to use if it makes more sense to your project. |
