Mongoose v9 adapter updates for v4?? 🚀

Hey there! 👋

First off, thanks for building Payload. I've been using Payload for just over a year and it's an absolute joy to work with and the architecture you've built makes managing content incredibly smooth.

I noticed the MongoDB adapter is currently using mongoose v8. I totally get that upgrading major versions can be a lot of painful work, especially since v9 drops callbacks and changes how UUIDs work. With everything you are working on right now, it makes total sense if it hasn't been a priority yet.

With the v4 release coming soon, I am just curious if moving to Mongoose v9 is on the roadmap. I completely understand if there are specific blockers keeping Payload on v8 tho.

From what I've read, the new async stack traces looks great and it's supposed to be faster and somewhat smaller, but maybe they aren't worth the breaking changes yet.

No pressure at all, just wanted to start a friendly chat before the v4 launch.
