@cat WELCOME
Welcome to this memorial to Apple UNIX (A/UX), based on AT&T's System V SVR2 kernel.
I am recreating the live installation I am running on my Apple Workgroup
Server 95 (AWS95) with the following specs:
- Motorola 68040 CPU @ 33 MHz
- 256 MB RAM
- 2 MB VRAM
- "Pisces" Workgroup Server Cache/SCSI2 PDS card (exclusive to A/UX)
- SCSI2SD with 4 x 2 GB partitions
- SuperMac Spectrum/24 NuBus video card
- 10 Mb Ethernet via AAUI-15 transceiver
- Sony 3 1/2" floppy drive
- HP 1504A DDS-DC tape drive
Such a configuration would have cost about $17,000 in 1992, or nearly $38,000
when adjusted for inflation! I also have a PowerPC 601 PDS upgrade card @ 66 MHz,
which in incompatible with A/UX, in addition to taking up the slot for "Pisces."

Please enjoy this tribute to this amazing machine I have built and refurbished over the
last six years. I'm working to ensure every file - relevant or not - reflects their
counterparts on the live system.
