GLYPH VOICE 0.11.0
GLYPH VOICE 0.11.0 adds automatic phone-hotspot discovery, optional cloud speech-to-text configured after installation, and public firmware with first-use Wi-Fi setup.
- Android launcher name: GLYPH VOICE; package remains
com.pcbcupid.voice. - Tap Connect Glyph → Find Glyph; no board IP entry. Multiple boards offer a chooser, and the chosen identity is remembered across DHCP changes.
- Local English Parakeet remains the default and works offline. Optional cloud settings accept a compatible HTTPS transcription endpoint, model and API key. Cloud audio is sent in 15-second chunks plus the stop-time tail; text updates after responses, not word by word.
- Firmware transport-r6 contains no private hotspot credentials. Configure the hotspot through the temporary
GLYPH-Setup-xxxxxxnetwork on first boot. - App and firmware source, editable circuit diagram, build tools, and Kit documentation are included.
kit/photos/is ready for photos to be added later.
Download and install
- glyph-voice-0.11.0.apk — signed, non-debuggable Android release. Requires Android 8+, a 64-bit device, and at least 2 GB free space for local-model setup. The large APK includes the offline model. Cloud mode skips loading the model.
- glyph-voice-c6-0.11.0.bin — complete merged C6 image; flash at 0x0. Replaces flash contents, including saved Wi-Fi settings.
- glyph-voice-c6-0.11.0-app.bin — app-only firmware; use 0x10000 only with the matching bootloader/partitions.
- SHA256SUMS, BUILD_INFO.json, and glyph-voice-wiring.svg — hashes, build details and circuit diagram.
Follow the Kit guide for wiring, flashing, first-use Wi-Fi setup, app installation and optional cloud configuration. Existing app installs signed by the same maintainer certificate can update without clearing history.
Verification
65 Java host tests passed; 3 external-fixture tests skipped. Three Python simulator tests and firmware filter/stop host tests passed. Debug/release app builds, Android test APK compilation, C6 firmware compilation and Android lint completed (zero lint errors). APK signatures and pinned model/runtime asset hashes were verified.
No board or phone was attached. Physical microphone compatibility, first-use provisioning, real hotspot/OEM behavior, Android instrumentation, phone inference performance and paid cloud-provider integration have not been tested. Use the hardware checklist.
