Introduce a feature that allows administrators to organize servers into logical server groups and assign permissions to these groups instead of individual servers. This would make permission management more scalable and easier to maintain, especially for users who manage many servers.
Key points:
Allow creation of server groups (for example by game type, customer, project, or location).
Enable assigning servers to one or multiple server groups.
Add a permission model where users and roles can be granted access to entire server groups, including specific actions (start/stop, console access, file management, etc.).
Ensure that group permissions are inherited by all servers in the group, with the option to override permissions per server when needed.
Provide a clear UI in the panel to manage server groups and see which users have access to which groups.
Benefits:
Simplifies permission management for panels with many servers.
Reduces the risk of configuration errors when assigning user rights.
Makes it easier to onboard new staff or customers by assigning them to groups instead of configuring each server individually.
