A data-loss fix: installing a game's update can no longer delete the game.
- Installing an update (patch) can never overwrite or delete your base game.
A game's update shares the same ID as the game itself, so the installer could
end up re-installing that ID — wiping the installed game instead of patching
it (hardware-confirmed: a 26 GB game was deleted by installing its update). An
update now installs only via the safe path that applies it on top; if that
can't apply it, the update fails harmlessly and your game stays completely
intact — never replaced or removed. Base games and DLC are unaffected.
(If an update won't install through the app on your firmware, install it from
the PS5's own Package Installer — your game is safe either way.) - Installed Apps cards line up evenly. Tiles with a longer two-line name no
longer knocked their neighbours out of alignment.
