Crypt-Configuration - Professional Trading Platform

Crypt-Configuration is taking a role as real-time cryptocurrency trading platform aimed at professional traders. I am featuring this product with a clean, easy-to-follow layout with instant access to market data, daily news, strategies, and portfolio holdings.

Architecture

The project is structured as a modern full-stack application:

Frontend (client/)

  • Framework: React 19 with TypeScript, built using Vite.
  • Styling: Tailwind CSS with Custom modern CSS.
  • Charts: lightweight-charts for high-performance, professional financial charting (Candlestick, Volume, etc.).
  • Icons: lucide-react.
  • Routing: react-router-dom.
  • Components: Modular trading UI including TradingView, PriceChart, OrderBook, OrderPanel, and TradeHistory.

Backend (server/)

  • Framework: Node.js with Express.
  • Database: MongoDB (via mongoose) for persistent storage of users, trades, and holdings.
  • Caching & Pub/Sub: Redis (redis) for high-speed order book matching, rate-limiting, and state caching.
  • Real-time: WebSockets (ws) for low-latency live price feeds and order updates.
  • Security: JWT (jsonwebtoken) and bcrypt for secure authentication.

Development Setup

To get started with development locally:

Prerequisites:

  • Node.js (v18+)
  • MongoDB running locally or a MongoDB URI
  • Redis server running locally

1. Install Dependencies

# In the client directory
cd client
npm install

# In the server directory
cd ../server
npm install

2. Environment Variables Create .env files in both the client and server directories based on your configuration needs (e.g., PORT, MONGO_URI, JWT_SECRET, REDIS_URL).

3. Run the Application

# Run the Vite development server for the React frontend
cd client
npm run dev

# Run the backend server with hot-reloading
cd server
npm install -g nodemon # if not installed
nodemon index.js

Next Steps & Roadmap

Based on the current core structure, our upcoming development phases are:

  1. System Testing & Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing of the existing frontend components and backend routes to ensure stability before expanding.
  2. Server & API Integration: Wire the React frontend to the Express backend and WebSocket connections for real-time order books and price charts.
  3. UI/UX Polishing: Upgrade the aesthetic to a premium, professional standard (dark mode, glassmorphism, micro-animations, standard trading typography) to visually depart from a "hackathon project" look.
  4. News & Strategy Modules: Implement the daily news aggregator and the user strategy tracking system.

Note to Contributors & Reviewers: We prioritize robust code, minimal latency, and a premium user experience. Please ensure all modifications meet professional standard requirements.
