find mode doesn't work in Incongito mode

Sometimes it seems that the find mode doesn't work in Incognito mode.
My environment is :
Windows 10 Home 64bit
Google Chrome v58.0.3029.81
and
Vivaldi v1.9.818.44

Reproduce :

1. Open https://github.com/philc/vimium with Incognito mode.
2. Hitting "/" and "vimium", it highlights "vimium" of repository name correctly.
3. Hitting "Enter", HUD remains at the lower right of page.

Inspector shows...

Do you have any ideas for this problem?

I reproduced this issue on:
59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit) (cohort: Stable)
Revision 3cf8514bb1239453fd15ff1f7efee389ac9df8ba-refs/branch-heads/3071@{#820}

Extensions:
Adblock Plus 1.13.2 Allow in incognito: True
Google Docs 0.9
Google Docs Offline 1.4
Google Sheets 1.1
Google Slides 0.9
Vimium 1.59 Allow in incognito: True

I get the same stack trace as s4kr4.

Edit for additional findings:
If you open a regular window first, and then an incognito window, it does seem to work. It seems the issue only arises when there is only an incognito window open.

Reproduced today with Vimium 1.64 on Google Chrome (Stable), 71.0.3578.80; macOS 10.13.6.

Thanks @pankk, this fixed it for me! I opened a regular window, performed a search with /, and this seems to have fixed it for both regular and incognito windows going forward.

Reproducible with chromium-71.0.3578.80
workaround: search under visual mode
