i suggest that as this news has no visible author, we don't use I here. or we add an author at the start of the news - would be a nice personal touch actually.

apart from this detail the PR is good. do we talk about phpcr-odm in the news too? if so, we could say that version 1.2 is imminent and we fixed a couple of bugs around saving translated documents and would like people to test the RC to get feedback before releasing.

I think we should add the author to the metadata and add it to the layout, but for now I just removed I. Added the news about the PHPCR-ODM.

👍 for author metadata and showing that. will make the thing more personal. (i guess we should try to have other authors too sometimes then)

i have one more point for jackalope-jackrabbit:

### jackalope-jackrabbit

* [Alfusainey](https://github.com/Alfusainey) is working on implementing remoting for access control in Jackrabbit, as part of his master thesis at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. Once this works, it will be possible to implement ACLs in jackalope-jackrabbit, allowing access control on nodes and subtrees. Check out the [Jackrabbit pull requests](https://github.com/apache/jackrabbit/pulls).

Updated. There is a lot more news then when I started writing last night :P We should start a wiki page to note things during the month.
