Feature: Expose Native Cursor Selection

Proposal

Ability to resolve row lines of native window.getSelection.

Motivation and context

I want to add annotations based on the browser native selection, instead of relying on a button in the gutter. Is there a way to register keyboard shortcuts and also get the row lines from the selection? Thanks.

Hey thanks for your feature request! Definitely something I would like to look into, but I have a couple other things that are priorities before that (virtualization and a new line decorations api)
