Hi @ginkgoch. Thanks for your PR.

I'm waiting for a pingcap member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test label.

I understand the commands that are listed here.

Summary of Changes

Hello @ginkgoch, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request enhances the documentation for TiDB Cloud's changefeed feature by explicitly detailing the 'Case Sensitive' option within the Table Filter configuration. This update ensures users have clear guidance on how to manage case sensitivity for database and table names when defining replication filter rules, thereby improving the accuracy and completeness of the changefeed setup process across different data sinks.

Highlights

  • Changefeed Documentation Update: Added documentation for the 'Case Sensitive' option within the Table Filter configuration for changefeeds, clarifying its role in setting case sensitivity for database and table names in filter rules.
  • Consistency Across Sink Types: The new documentation for case sensitivity has been consistently applied across various changefeed sink types, including Apache Kafka, Apache Pulsar, Cloud Storage, MySQL, and TiDB Cloud.

Code Review

This pull request adds documentation for the Case Sensitive option in the table filter configuration for changefeeds across multiple sink types. My review focuses on improving the clarity and completeness of the new documentation by suggesting a more descriptive explanation that includes the default behavior, in line with our documentation style guide.

To improve clarity and provide more complete information to the user, consider rephrasing this description. It would be helpful to explain what the setting does more explicitly and mention its default behavior. 1

Suggested change
- **Case Sensitive**: you can set case sensitivity for database and table names within the filter rules.
- **Case Sensitive**: You can set whether the matching of database and table names in the filter rules is case-sensitive. By default, matching is case-insensitive.
