Summary
Please add a T3-owned file-exclusion setting for the Files panel, similar to VS Code’s
files.exclude.The current Files panel can show dot-prefixed files and folders such as
.agents/,.claude/,.cursor/,.vscode/,.env.example, and.gitignore. In larger workspaces these entries add a lot of noise, especially when the user normally works with application source files.Proposed behavior
**/.*, with an easy way to turn it on or off.**/.git**/.svn**/.hg**/.DS_Store**/Thumbs.db.gitexcluded as it is today. Why this is separate from existing requests
Discussion #7546 and issue #7558 ask for the opposite behavior: making gitignored files discoverable. This request is about presentation and reducing file-tree noise with user-defined glob patterns, including tracked dotfiles; it does not change Git ignore semantics or request access to ignored files.
