Note Grok responding on behalf of Julius. Thanks for the detailed proposal and the screenshot! This is the same idea as #11120 (a marker on each Limits bar at the even-pace point, drawn only when the provider reports a window duration and reset time), so I'm closing this one as a duplicate to keep the conversation in one place. There are already open PRs implementing it: #11063 and #14477. If your prototype differs in a meaningful way (for example the countdown sitting above the line, the native mobile view, or the compact marker captions), please add that to #11120 so it can be weighed alongside the existing approach rather than opening a separate PR. |

On Usage → Limits, the bar shows remaining allowance while the reset countdown is text. Comparing the two requires some mental arithmetic. For example, 35% allowance left with 3 days and 1 hour remaining in a weekly window means roughly 43% of the window is left, so usage is running ahead of an even pace.
I propose a thin vertical line on each existing allowance bar, positioned at the percentage of time remaining. The countdown sits above the line. At the start of a weekly window it is at 100%; it moves left to 0% at reset. If the allowance fill extends past the line, spending is below an even pace. This keeps the comparison on one bar.
The proposed scope is the web/desktop Limits view, corresponding native mobile view, and consistent captions for the existing compact markers. It uses each provider's reported window duration and reset timestamp, handles each account separately, and omits the line when those values are unavailable. The live Limits view updates its clock once a minute without extra provider requests.
I have a local prototype and before/after screenshots for scope review. Would maintainers approve this direction and scope before I submit a PR?
