Allow running commands directly from the Command-K picker
#23105
When I search for a command in the Command-K picker and press Enter on its keybinding entry, it currently takes me to settings to assign a keyboard shortcut. Sometimes I just want to run the command immediately, without binding a key to it.
Could the picker support both actions?
Enter: Run the selected command immediately.
Shift+Enter: Open its keyboard shortcut settings.
The shortcuts could also work the other way around. The main request is to let users execute a command directly from the picker while keeping a separate way to configure its keybinding. A hint in the picker could show which shortcut performs each action.
Some people dont relly on binding keys and remembering those but instead use command fuzzy finders, so instead of binding key you press "cmd+k" and type parts of words, lets say you target "add project" and you quickly build intuition that typing "ad p" and pressing enter is what always gets you there.
Would be nice to have this available in t3code.
Related: #18611 adds a direct palette action for settling a thread because searching for it currently returns only settings entries. This request is broader: provide run/configure actions for commands listed through their keybinding entries.
I searched existing issues, pull requests, and discussions and did not find an exact duplicate.
