Problem or use case
This project is moving really fast and iterating on many features. In order to understand what changed in a new version one would have to look at release information. However, this isnt any information about the release when updating inside the app.
Proposed solution
My proposed solution would be something similiar to what Zed Editor does. After updating to a new version a Toast/Sonner appears with new version and a button to a page inside teh app which lists the changes or just copies the release notes. This way users can easily keep track of changes and new features
Why this matters
Keeps user informs
Increases the quality
Smallest useful scope
Toast/Sonner with a check on version changes and a tracker whether toast/sonner was presented to user
Via GitHub Workflow during release populate the app page from the release note automatically
enhancementRequested improvement or new capability.needs-triageIssue needs maintainer review and initial categorization.
